Stacking the Shelves/The Sunday Post #2

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Hello everyone!! I hope you guys had a fantastic week! In case you didn't hear, I started a bookstagram account this week! I am so excited about this - I actually went to the Dollar store to pick up some props today! I got some flowers, and crystals, and seashells! I figure it'll take some time before I can get them to look professional but I'm gonna work on it! My birthday is coming up in a month, so I asked my boyfriend to get me a ring light if I'm serious about this until then. Any long-time bookstagrammers out there? How do you get your posts to look amazing?! I've seen some INCREDIBLE book Instagram accounts... I can only hope to have my account looking that great someday!

Anyway if you are interested in checking it out, it's @thereadingdevil (no pressure though lol this is just me trying to get some advice from fellow bloggers!)

In other news!! Still no word from the medical schools yet... if all goes the way I hope, I will be moving to Ireland this fall :) Such a terrifying and exciting thought all in one lol!

And now on to the exciting stuff - BOOKS!

This was an exciting week in terms of incoming books! I found two second-hand bookstores in my area and of course I went a little crazy lol.

Purchased Myself:

Received an ARC from NetGalley:

And that's a wrap!! It's always a great week when new books hit my shelves :) I can't wait until I have a whole room dedicated to all of my books! How was everyone else's week?!

  1. I have been bookstagramming for a few years now and the best tip I have is get good lighting! Natural light is the best, but sometimes I have to use a combo of a box light and natural light. Honestly, it just takes practice. I'm just now learning lightroom and photoshop to help enhance my pics.

    1. Ahhh yes this seems to be such a key aspect! All of the popular accounts that I have been visiting all seem to have this in common - really great lighting! I feel like it's going to take some practice, but I'm hoping to get the hang of it soon :)

  3. Good luck with your bookstagram site! I never really got into bookstagram, I'm afraid. Keeping up my blog is about all I can manage in terms of social media. Haha. I do enjoy visiting other people's instragram sites though. Your new books all look so good! I'm going to have to give in and read Julia Quinn's book I think. I hope you have a great week!

And Bookstagram is so fun but I'm so bad at updating mine lol. I need to get back into it. Hope you love it!
