Can't Wait Wednesday #13

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally, they're books that have yet to be released.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you're having a good week so far! I started my very first audiobook yesterday (I know, I'm so behind the times lol) I listen to it in my car on the way to and from work everyday.
I also got some books in my mailbox yesterday from Raincoast Books so I thought I'd spotlight one of them today!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

What I Read Last Week:

This is so terrible but I actually didn't finish a book last week! Things were just too busy!

Stacking the Shelves/The Sunday Post #5

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Well... quite an unproductive week in terms of my blog lol! I don't think I've slacked this much since I started back in December! Unfortunately, the end of the school year brings a ton of assignments so I've been too busy to read let alone blog. But the semester is over in just a couple weeks and then I am FREE to read and blog all I like around work xD Yesterday was super exciting because I FINALLY got to go to the Book Outlet a couple hours from my house! They aren't open Sundays, and this was the first Saturday I've had off in awhile so of course I jumped on the opportunity! And it was so worth it... the store was HUGE! I think I spent about 2 hours in there but honestly, I could have stayed longer if I'd been by myself! My sister and boyfriend were not as enthusiastic lol! I think next time I get the chance to go, I'll do it solo and spend the day!

Hopefully I can manage my usual book hops (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and I will have at least one book review up!

Majority of these were purchased to complete the series I already own - it drives me nuts not to have a finished series lol! So next time I go I'll get to do all new books instead! Yay!

Can't Wait Wednesday #13

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally, they're books that have yet to be released.

Hi!! Boy am I ever behind schedule lol! I have a mountain of assignments due in the next couple of weeks so I've been working my butt off writing papers but haven't been able to read anything :( I missed the Monday post and was really hoping I could get a review up yesterday but alas.. here we are! I came across this book when looking through a "most anticipated books" list and I have to say I am intrigued! Anyone heard of this book yet?? I absolutely love the cover!

Title: The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot
Author: Marianne Cronin
Publish Date: June 1st, 2021
Publisher: Harper Perennial
An extraordinary friendship. A lifetime of stories.

Their last one begins here.

Life is short. No-one knows that better than seventeen-year-old Lenni living on the terminal ward. But as she is about to learn, it's not only what you make of life that matters, but who you share it with.

Dodging doctor's orders, she joins an art class where she bumps into fellow patient Margot, a rebel-hearted eight-three-year-old from the next ward. Their bond is instant as they realize that together they have lived an astonishing one hundred years.

To celebrate their shared century, they decide to paint their life stories: of growing old and staying young, of giving joy, of receiving kindness, of losing love, of finding the person who is everything.

As their extraordinary friendship deepens, it becomes vividly clear that life is not done with Lenni and Margot yet.

Fiercely alive, disarmingly funny and brimming with tenderness, THE ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF LENNI AND MARGOT unwraps the extraordinary gift of life even when it is about to be taken away, and revels in our infinite capacity for friendship and love when we need them most.

Stacking the Shelves/The Sunday Post #4

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hi! How's it going everybody?! Another week down! Let's see... this week I finally got my old Instagram account back! I had a wedding dress account on Instagram that had 250 thousand followers! But a couple years ago I let my cousin borrow it and he turned it into a meme account and lost about 60K followers lol. So I finally took back ownership and turned it into my bookstagram account - yes, yes I know this is kind of cheating but... I figured why not lol I worked hard to get those followers (and now I'm going to lose half of them because I'll be posting books lol!).
In other news, my coworker is pregnant! Super exciting for her, not so much for my boss since she'll be leaving in August and I've already given my notice that I'll be leaving in August due to school! So now we've got about 4-5 months to hire and train 2 new people lol! The good thing is that I'm sure we won't have a hard time finding people who need a job!
Anyway, let's move on to books! Same kind of week here on the blog:
