Trial of Tears Review

Summary: Pete Watts is a former undercover narcotics cop who got way too close to his job. He now runs a music rehearsal studio that draws the underbelly of the industry: violent drug gangs, a strange assortment of hangers-on and a gorgeous ex-mercenary who wears makeup in the form of multi-colored tears running down her face. These tears are, in fact, decals on which different poisons are concealed. Some survive the Trial of Tears, some don’t. The story’s taut climax is set in a posh townhouse in which only the courageous will emerge unscathed.
An action-packed love-letter to New York City, it’s a story of friendship and redemption, that provides a roller-coaster of laughter, drama and suspense, leaving the reader wanting more.

Review: Trial of Tears has an interesting plot. The idea is great, but I found alot of the book was ver confusing and hard to follow. I wasn't really sure what was going on, who was who, and the many connections between different characters. Some parts were hilarious, don't get me wrong, but personally, I just found this wasn't the most amazing book I've ever read.

The music angle was pretty cool however. It really shows what it's like to be in the music business and how a studio works for those who want to know. There's also a thrilling suspense edge to it. Alot of action - blood, swearing, just outright violence :p But it was fun at times and I'd be lying if I said it doesn't have any good qualities. Trial of Tears also had some pretty relatable characters. Pete is the prime example - as the main character, readers experience his every emotion from love and betrayal, to sadness and rage. He goes through things that alot of people experience every day, (well as far as his relationships go - as for the rest, read it and you'll see :D) so if you were maybe a bit older, you'd definitely understand.

Overall, Trial of Tears wasn't a bad book by any means, it just wasn't for me. I still encourage anyone to try it - maybe a bit of an older audience would appreciate it more - and post your review! :D

Cover: 4/5 I just love it! :D

Review: This book was absolutely amazing! I have no word of complaint becuase it was just... perfect!

When I first received this book in the mail, I'm not going to lie - I really wasn't sure I'd be that interested. But thank the lord I read it! :p I honestly haven't read such a touching romance novel in a long time so this was such a nice change! The characters were sassy, funny, and just all around great! The plot had everything and more!

This book even had a totally awesome adventure part near the end! I'm not kidding - it was so cool! I can't say anything about said adventure because it gives away a lot, so I'll just say read it - you will NOT be disappointed!

I absolutely loved Georgiana! She was such a great character to read about with her temper tantrums and snide remarks :p And Ridge... oh Ridge :p Definitely my new book boyfriend! There were other characters (obviouslY :D) but these two main characters were just perfect!

The end of The Kissing Tree made me cry - because it was so happy! That doesn't happen often, so boy was I surprised. But I actually went to bed bawling my eyes out because it was aboslute perfection! Honestly, I could not have asked for a better ending!

Overall, this book was amazing! I know I've said that a million times in this review (I also know that this review is kinda scrambled) but that's because I'm honestly at a loss for words! The only thing I can say for sure is that any romance fans can skip the library and head straight to the book store for this one :D

The only traces left of Cammie’s summer vacation are the bruises on her body and the dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that even the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It’s a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and willing stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

So far, this is a really great series so I can't wait to continue reading it :D If you haven't tried yet, I suggest reading at least the first one - you'll be hooked for sure :P Another good book by her is Heist Society (and then Uncommon Criminals) I've never read books about spies so these are really interesting to me :)
